Safe in God's Hands

Over the years and throughout the ages, God has made countless attempts to communicate His unfailing love for each of us in many different ways. One of His primary means of communication has always been through the Scriptures.

Isaiah 43:1
“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

When we look at the story of God’s relationship with Abraham and his descendants, we see the demonstration of the unfailing love of a covenant‑making and covenant‑keeping God. Scripture is God’s love letter to humanity — timeless, ageless, and ever‑relevant to the past, present, and future. It radiates with the love, life, and power of God.

Our understanding of God is shaped primarily by what we have heard or read in His Word. Isaiah 43:1 is a personal love letter from God to us, and it’s important to make it our own. Below is a prayer of declaration and affirmation — read it, declare it, believe it, and experience it.
(God said, “Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive it, and you shall have it.”)

Prayer of Declaration and Affirmation

  • God created me. I am not an accident. I am perfectly and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God.

  • God formed me. Before I was formed in my mother’s womb, God knew me. I am special to Him.

  • God said, “Fear not.” Therefore, I have nothing to fear. My Father watches over me like a mother watches her child. I am safe and secure — I can rest and relax.

  • I am redeemed by God. I am not trying to be redeemed; I already am — redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

  • God calls me by name. He knows me personally. I am unique and precious to Him. I have a special place in His heart. God is mindful of me, thinking about me constantly. I am loved and accepted.

My relationship with God is like that of a father and child — He cares for me, provides for me, protects me, defends me, and watches over me always. He is a loving Father who never sleeps while guarding His children.

(He that watches over Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.)

Living in God’s Love

What we say to ourselves matters more than what anyone else says. Our words reflect what we believe, and we tend to believe most deeply what we speak and meditate upon.

So, in our relationship with our loving Father, we should practice reading His love letters to us in an empowering and affirmative way. When this becomes a lifestyle, our sense of safety, assurance, protection, and love will grow. We will move from the outer court to the inner court — developing confidence that we can approach God and receive His full attention.

You can trust God with the most intimate and personal issues; He will never betray your confidence. You can commune with Him in a personal and intimate way — through silent prayer, a gentle whisper, a simple request for help or wisdom. You can rely on Him completely. He is faithful, dependable, and unfailing.

You have a place in the heart of God that can never be replaced by anyone or anything else.

You are not an accident — you are special to God.
